It's inevitable that people will have clashes to agonise over. The ones that annoy me the most are CSN and EW&F both bands I really want to see and both only playing once such a shame. I'll be missing EW&F with much regret.
Kenny Wayne sheppherds 2 gigs are both opposed to John Fogarty's gigs - I'll try and catch kenny for some of it. The other one for me is Pogues VS John Butler. If shane's sober and the band fire then the pogues are as good a live band as you could hope to see. If, on the other hand Shane's off the wagon then I'll be heading over to see JBT.

Anyone else have clashes they are agonizing over?

If you're not having fun, you're missing the point

CSN have toured downunder in relatively recent times.
I could have hopped in my car and driven 7 hours to see them.
Or got a plane.
But it comes down to money and how fanatical you are.

Both CSN and EWF are playing in Melbourne.
You are in central Victoria.
So you can see one at Bluesfest and one in melbourne.

There was only going to be one Fogerty gig.
Now there are two.
Best to turn your mind back to when there was one.
The choice then becomes easy.

Pogues versus JBT is a no brainer.
JBT is local.
Pogues are not.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

the CSN is a bad one but for me its the clash they have with alabama3.
Canned heat and the specials on the same day is another tough choice
I would also love to show my support to local boy Dan Hannaford who is a great great artist but he is on the same time as Seth lakeman and Seths other slot clashes with trombone shorty.
The rest of the schedule works out real well for me, get to see everyone i want at least once.
Monday in the mojo...wow, what a day... I`m there from 12:00 - 23:30

CSN & Alabama3 is the real clash for me. Only one chance to see either of them. Just imagine the dynamics of of putting together a schedule of 200 or so concerts over 5 days. Trying to please both the audience and the performers. It would be a mind boggling job. The only thing I would like to see different from how they did it would be to never put 2 "one performance only" acts on at the same time. Perhaps they've got no choice because they've got to fit in with the rest of the tour dates for these performances. Perhaps also some performers do not like to perform earlier in the day. Who knows. I just counted the one performance acts and there's 23 of them. How would you like to try sorting that one out. Anyway I'm ecstatic with the schedule. I've only got the one major clash, the rest I can work around. For me it's still a case of deciding who I've got to miss to see the ones I just can't miss.

Anyone know how long CSN are playing? Only band length of concert not listed on playing schedule.

My two non-negotiables for the entire weekend. Don't miss a second of My Morning Jacket or John Fogerty playing Cosmo's Factory.

earth wind & fire and CSN is a big clash for me. Here is a recent setlist from EWF to help me know if and when I might duck away from CSN:
1. BoogieWonderland
2. Sing a Song
3. Shining Star
4. Serpentine Fire
5. Sun Goddess
6. In the Stone
7. Evil
8. Brazilian Rhyme
9. That's the Way
10. After the Love is Gone
11. Reasons
12. I'll Write A Song For You
13. Got To Get You Into My Life
14. Fantasy
15. September
16. Let's Groove
17. Mighty, Mighty
18. Betcha by Golly, Wow…(The Stylistics cover)... occasionally

My Morning Jacket were great before neil young in sydney a few years ago, and I desperately want to see them- but John Hiatt and Canned Heat are my no 1 and 2 must sees, so I am swamped by choice.

John Hiatt and canned Heat are both playing more than once. MMJ aren't. Makes the choice for Thursday pretty easy.

I haven't got around to seeing what clashes there are this year for me. Fortunately last year I had zero issues with clashes. I probably wont have very many this year seeing as many artists I don't know very well. Most likely I'll do a fair bit of seeing bits of sets rather than complete sets to help me expand my musical horizons. The only 100% complete set artist for me is Trombone Shorty. Whoever else is playing at the same time can forget about me attending.

well the good news for me is that I no longer have any clashes at all. The bad news is that I've just discovered I've somehow deleted my whole finely tuned, well worked out listening schedule. Fair dinkum - I've spent I don't know how many hours sorting it out. Anyway, shit happens. I'll sort it out again and my wife just groaned.

i hate that too!
just have to settle for seeing them once each-which is tough as JF will be doing completely different sets.
