Inducted a week after his Bluesfest set. Hope this doesn't mean he has second thoughts about his visit... Can't imagine it would. Always nice to have Hall of Famers around!

I know a bloke who used to do a bit of "work" for Donovan- Donovan is neighbors with Ray Davies they live in a part of the world where no one knows or cares who they are -

Let hope Rays catching the same flight - they could share a cab to the airport. The Airport is not that far from their humble abodes.

Ray did a gig to save the local school a few years back it was held in the school: a legend through and through !

Ray Davies and Brian Auger's Oblivion Express are at the peak of what I have ever seen at Bluesfest.
A sister of a past acquaintance of mine reportedly was Ray Davies' Dentist.
A Google search reveals that she practices very close to Muswell Hill.

I saw him at the Opera House in 1975(?), and thouroughly enjoyed the set (even with the distraction of the late Ian Krahe discussing his tunings throughout next to me!). It'll be interesting to see him after so many years. The last time I recall him playing Byron he was at The Great Northern - hardly a good venue I'd have thought.

I'd love to see Donovan again. I saw him in 1998 at The Basement in Sydney. He still had it so I'd highly recommend seeing him. On a downside, my wife took along her Cosmic Wheels LP that she'd had 20 odd years and he wouldn't sign it for her. She'd even coloured in the inside cover artwork when she was a teenager.

I'll never understand this sort of behaviour from artists.
