Jeff Martin said in an interview he will be playing blues fest next year. I hope its the tea party but jeff solo or the armada or 777 are great to.

Geez I hope so, those guys were awesome in their heyday. A memorable gig was at the Narabeen Sands Hotel mid nineties , smallish room crowd spilled out onto the beach out the back. Absolutely rocked. Fingers crossed.

Great show at the Hordern last night. Jeff was in fine form. Seemed really happy to be back with the band, seemed more comfortable on stage, I guess knowing the other guys know their parts helps.

Sound was excellent, (at least where I was). Very clear, not too loud.....I've never seen The Tea Party before, but saw Jeff & The Armada at The Metro & that show was so loud, I didn't care about the constant talkers next to me as I couldn't hear them over the PA. Though the volume of the most of the acoustic songs was almost as loud as the electric.

I think Jeff's getting a touch of the Buddy Guys with lots of snippets of songs, veering off to bits of other songs etc, think a setlist & tracking the set would pose a challenge. Though unlike Buddy, it's all in his own slyle. As apart from said Armada gig, I've only heard Jeff in a variety of solo, solo/bass, solo/percussion blends, nice to hear some of the songs given the The Party slant & hearing songs live I hadn't heard live before.

Jeff said they're back for good & planing a new album next year.

They filmed the gig for a live release dvd

Can't think of 3 guys in a band that, just based on their appearance, look so odd together.........The gothic Jeff, Stuart, who looks he'd be more at home playing in a rockabilly band & the drummer Jeff, who looks like he dragged himself out of the surf for the gig. You wonder how they ever got talking!!
