... it was sent registered and addressed to "Raucous Reg", ie someone by that name had to produce ID to pick it up. No problem as I live in a small(ish) town and pholk here are a bit easier going than in the big city- they realised that no-one was about to lob with the required ID and allowed me to sign for it.

BUT it was also addressed to the wrong address, luckily the card was delivered to someone honest enough to ask the neighbours did they know anyone who used the name "Raucous Reg"! A (very) slioghtly less diligent person would have ignored the card completly and the ticket woul;d have been returned to BF; a slightly less honest person would have picked up the article "on spec" and it would be listed on EBay by now.

My question is "Why was the letter addressed the way it was when the order had my "real" name and correct address on it?"

Thats very very lucky

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.

It was a personal message from the Bluesfest team to show their appreciation to the only hippie still attending Bluesfest.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
