Love this song and all it's variants. Would love to see / hear more people cover this Hendrix tune.

I'm sure someone must have covered this along the way. If so, who's done it and how good was it?

Should be a mandatory entry requirement to play Bluesfest. Each band / performer has to do a private audition in front of Bluesfest Admin. If they pull it off, they get an invite. ;-)

I'm pretty sure Leszek Cichonski and Les Karski played it at Narooma about 4 years ago, I agree it's one of the best songs of an era when what went on in your mind was as important as what went on in the 'Real World'

Can't be sure but I'd say there is every chance Andy Cowan would have done it in 05 (?).
It was on his new album then and he did it at just about every other gig I saw around that time.

At Narooma 2007,the Polish guys played nothing but Hendrix.
Can't recall as to whether Little Wing featured.

I saw both Andy Cowan gigs in 2005.
I don't remember him playing Hendrix.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

In Australia Steve Edmonds does the best Little Wing.
In fact he does the best Hendrix.

Yep. Saw him at the Enmore last year doing to Jimi Hendrix tribute show. Awesome. Would love to see a collaborative jam, or something like this at Bluesfest one year. Get some artists together to for a big Allman Bros style jam!

A beautiful version by a brilliant band - made even more special by the opening acoustic chord: David Crosby's chord for "Lee Shore" on one of the best live albums ever:"4 Way Street" (maybe he had the 3 Corr sisters in mind when he wrote Triad)

I am sure that I have heard it done at Bluesfest, it is just that the addled brain cant remember by whom.

I know I did see Prince do a very good version of it, at a suposedly secret gig at the Palace in Melbourne many moons ago.
