I'm sure everyone is relieved I haven't raised my usual wanky topic of the song that stuck with us from 2011 like I have done previously
Just seemed this year it was a no-brainer
Don't think I'll get too many arguments from Waffles at least but guess just to keep ssme continuity. better put it out there

Susan Tedeschi's "Mdnight in Harlem" - what does a white gurl have to sell to the devil do it like that? (and is Mike Maddison one of the with the best contemporary songwriters - and backup singers?)
7th June was a very happy day chez-Arbee in Mongolia, when the album was released

Hmmm. Thursday night Ernest Ranglin, made me go searching to find his songs, and I think i have tracked it down to Alpinos;Friday night Grace Jones walking in the rain; Saturday night Wolfmother Joker and the thief; any of 5 of Derek and Susan; The weight on sat and sunday with Mavis;Suburbia with Trombone;on sunday monkey man with melbourne ska reprising toots;simply the best with irma; on monday willie and laura may jones with tony joe white - all good contendenders but the time when all good things come to pass was Elvis'"I don't want to go to Chelsea"" .

"That did it" by TTB did it for me, especially Saturday night.

Also Secret Sisters "Hurt me now, get it over"

Neil Murray playing "Native born", "My island home" and "Black fella - white fella" in succession was also a personal highlight.

Secret Sisters...Clearly I should have been there...My favourite Patsy Cline song.

I would love to see K D Lang perform the entirity of "Shadowland."

Met Jeff Bridges cousin once when I was surfing in Malabu with Gary Buseys nephew, we talked about putting a band together and releasing some UB40 covers. We jammed in separate studios and spoke about our ideas and emotions. Then the summer ended and we went back to our real lives
