It's that time of year and the series is tied
Show your Rugby League acumen by forecasting the correct result
I'll start = N.S.W. by 12 points. Probably 22 to 10 Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.

Do not be alarmed BBadmin- didn't Irma Thomas sing simply the best with 8,000 punters(wasn't that what she deserved- memorable); and didn't Sex Pistols bassist from the band they couldn't hang insult half the audience when he sang about the state he was playing in being named after her (sic) when he sang "God save the Queen" (2 nights in a row) so there is a bluesfest connection here. Being a Novocastrian, I'd love to support Uate and Gidley if he's fit- but it is Lockyer's swan song- and he sounds like me after 5 days at BF, so its QLD and the score will be 19 12 Qld's way. Next year they wipe the Slater clean, and it'll be NSW's go.

1) New South Wales are known as the BLUES
2) After 10pm Wednesday night, Queenslanders will have a massive dose of the BLUES
Now do you wont to make a prediction?
Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.

We may have to wait for a test match before putting sport in this topic.

I was watching the three Jools Holland shows that were on TV here last weekend. Enjoyed Robert Plant's new Band Of Joy....and Mavis Staples...and Charlie Watts with the boogie woogie players... Robert Plant and any of his entourages would be great at Bluesfest and would pull a big crowd. As band of Joy is the current vehicle, let's go for it. Oddly,I don't recall Patty Griffin singing a note. Instrumentation was superb. After twirling through a few channels, came across Reds versus Crusaders game 30 minutes in with the score at nil all. Watched the rest. Was great to see the Reds win,and they have come a long way in recent years. Good to see the Crusaders lose,as it is time to let someone else have the trophy. Brad Thorn who I understand used to be a league player, blatantly foot-tripped a Reds player, which cost three points, and then tried to go for a try when he had two guys outside him...and was held up in goal. And so deservedly ended up in the losing team.

Thank you admin. My knowledge of league is virtually nil...except for Wally Lewis & Graham Lowe, and I have heard of Manly & the North Queensland Cowboys....And I don't bother with union these days either. An inspection of wikipedia reveals that Thorn played for the Brisbane Broncos for 10 years.....No wonder he was trying to show off to the local crowd.
