Michelle Shocked embarressed herself at bluesfest, and was upstaged by a 17 y/o busker Minnie MARKS in the interview tent, yes she did start as a busker! i read her own homepage. As for the dummy spit HAHAHA, she lost all credibility, and her show was a bore! i lasted two songs and left.
If corporate greed has taken over the world she should hand back all the money corporate greed has fed her over the years , or just quit the industry and go and organise the union and get a real job like the rest of us.
Why didnt she grandstand it at her concert instead of at Minnie Marks and Michelle's Q&A time.

Don't know what happened this year but at her last BF performance she rang her boyfriend mid set for a live chat. Coulda been cute for a few seconds, but she insisted on dragging out the conversation to a half asleep guy for a few minutes. BORING!

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

I went for a peek, lasted around three minutes and then went back to Peter Rowan's second set.

I own and very much like her recorded material, and watched an entire set at her previous Bluesfest appearance, which I would rate as 'Ok". but a little pale compared to listening to the studio versions.

It appeared to be more of a gig for ladies.

Why did she not have a band at that first set ?

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
