Monday seems to have been one of the low lights of my 15+ years of coming to the Bluesfest.
We normally drink a lot of beer at the festival, at 3pm I was told that there were only 3 full strength beers available, Tooheys NEW (Do people still drink that stuff?), XXXX Gold (3.5% joke) and Hahn Superdry (355ml short changed again). I was told the Heineken ran out last Friday! By 6pm there was ONLY Tooheys NEW available! Take it or leave it.
Isn't there an expression about not being able to run a piss up in a brewery!? At $7 a pop the beer selection is woeful and to run out inexcusable! As a Byron Bay local that keeps coming back every year this will be a Bluesfest that will be memorable for the wrong reasons.

i didnt drink this bluesfest, and i know bluesfest hasent got control of the liquor licence, but there are some serious issues with responsible service. as all the bar staff should have R.S.A. QUALIFICATIONS they are not supposed to supply alcohol to anyone intoxicated. man ,was that forgotten. i saw people who were staggering but still got served. there should be security at all bars to say who doesnt get served. at those prices surely they should have reserve stock 20 minutes away in byron or 30 minutes away at dan murphys ballina.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Like I keep posting here..

Little Creatures Pale Ale on tap...and after tasting the Pacific Ale brewed right in Byron Bay, I would happily go for that also.

Seems like BF has a contract with CUB and others to supply to megaswill they do. I hope they didn't sign that contact for 10 years...
