I recall seeing the movie the Graduate in 1969 in the movie theatre at Alexandra, where we went to stay with a friend who had moved there. This song was played three times in the soundtrack.
What I liked about S & G was their delicacy and the atmosphere they created,as with Suzanna Vega & other such atmospheric singer songwriters who have an acoustic guitar.
This cover is too much in my face.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Different to you I actually like it ... kinda, heavy metal, punk meets folk and culture ... more important to me was that some of these songs are coming back with people listening other than folk our age...

You may find listening to David Draiman interview about this recording of SOS ... starts about 2:50 ...

Cassandra Wilson - Coming Forth by Day. The songs of Billie Holiday. Sublime. Along with Irma Thomas, the greatest living female singer.

Liked the cover of sounds of silence by disturbed. A mate of mine was at blue fest a few years back and went to see one of his fav buskers come good "passenger" his version of sounds of silence was discribed as a crime against humanity.

So yep the disturbed goth band get my vote big time!!

seeing as he is not coming, I am listening to Sturgill Simpson. He was on my must see list.

Will I never know silence without mental violence?
