In response to a sort of mixed up post, I would point out the following (outstanding) first timers, in addition to the "awesome" acts that have played this festival before:

Lucinda Williams
Booker T Jones
Drive By Truckers
Hot Club of Cowtown
Watermelon Slim
Blues Traveler

Not to mention many others. Plus I believe that Ruthie Foster is bringing the band this year. And the immeasurable amount of downright awesome sit in possibilities that may or may not eventuate.........

Still, it does have a nostalgic feel. But what nostalgia :-)

What is disappointing is seeing Widespread Panic supported by North Mississippi All Stars touring Florida in April - why couldn't we get these two great bands here instead? Put that one on the to do list Pete. After all, WP are one of the best southern rock bands since the allman brothers and would definitely get the same sort of response as a band like dave matthews.

As for the list already - if David Gray, Matisyahu and Toots and the Maytals are added to the bill I think this year is looking really good. Particularly excited about Booker T and Drive by Truckers. I think with at least 40 more acts to be announced the legends list will be very strong by april. i was concerned with so many regular faces on the first round list that it may not be the most diverse and exciting year, but the second round and some of the leaked names suggests otherwise. personally, i can't wait.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans
