For those that may want to get together before bluesfest.
At the Rails on on Thursday 21st sometime between say. . . lunch - midday-1pm & mid arvo 3 - 4pm or sometime around then (for stragglers like myself . . . hangover permitting) as per usual?
I did try last year but no luck as i was waiting for someone who was late getting to my accommodation . . . perhaps this year.

i cant make the rails this year-w.o.r.k. but may i suggest a meeting spot at bluesfest. say the northern most end of the food court that is adjacent to jambalaya. maybe 1pm each day
or anytime your having a feed head to that spot. i might even put up a sign to sign. i think it would be good to compare notes etc.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Natch!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep you company Coke Bloke. Infact with the cast of thousands that are coming with me from NZ this year we might be able to hire it!!!!!
Incidently, meet the absentee JAFA last night at the Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest last night.

He will be back a Bluesfest this year after a bit of an overseas excursion.

I'll give it a go to get to the rails thursday.
Last year i had to wait for someone to bring my wheels(scooter)but had no luck getting it wed so had to wait quite a while on thur.
Its the busy time for them as well so its understandable.will try again this year.

Your lot must have booked near half the plane!
Save me a seat @ the smokeing section @ the rails...you know where im talking about, the small area more or less in the parking lot with a tiny unbrella for cover when it's wet.(whinge . . . cough)
Ill shout the first drink but not your entire crew . . .sorry but my pockets dont run quite that deep.
Good to hear Jafa will be around this year, its starting to look like the old days.
Now we just have to work out where bindog has got to.

I and my comrade ended up there by accident last year, for the first time ever.

If we had not met that familiar amateur festival photographer "Cookie'' on the main street,we would not have gone there.

I was the sober driver.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

I'll be at the giovindas stall eating the curried felafel when Tim Robbins hits the stage and talks about his RPM - I had a look on you tube and it stands for "rapid planning method" , I'd rather compare notes than watch him ask audience members to walk on hot coals or practice levitation or whatever else he does during his "gig"

Incredible the amount of people who seem to be making that mistake. Seriously people?! Read the artist announcements.

I know it's crazy, no way was he in star wars no matter what that bodgy poster says, how a guy who's musical claim to fame is motivating Quincy Jones and keeping Dylan inspired gets to do spoken word at the fest, hardcore musos like Henry Rollins sell out shows worldwide doing "non music gigs" but this is different, Robbins has no musical form , Peter has the bloke from the castle and neighbors or whatever playing with absolute aussie legend Kevvie Borich - but no local names on the motivational mans backing group- He offers only three steps to financial freedom and seven steps to personal breakthroughs! Sounds more than interesting - I might have a feed after listening to some good music and get tips how you can pay for the next bluesfest before Sept 2011, but enough on the mindbender this is Supposed to be a posters meet up blog .. I'll be in nimbim thurs arvo doing the rounds if anyones up for an afternoon drink up in the hinterland before opening night?

After reading the continued ramblings of Maccain09 it's starting to look like the only kind of motivational inspiration Maccain09 has may have come from Charlie Sheen.
Why not start your own thread on the subject instead of hijacking others with this sort of mindless drivel?
