As I read the schedule - St Paul and the Broken Bones. are playing at 5pm. Friday ; 4.30. Saturday and 4.pm on Monday? What logic is behind this?? Aren't they allowed out at night? They are listed as a Bluesfest exclusive and are treated like a lowly warmup act. Ok one afternoon slot is fine. but this band should be holding down a late night slot somewhere. There are a number of strange scheduling decisions, but this is the current leader. Please fix this and give them the respect that they are entitled to.

Perhaps they requested the earlier slots.

The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tchaikovsky had the news...."

Find that hard to believe- especially given the theatrical nature of their act - but if someone official could confirm that was the case it may help. Otherwise I hope it is altered when the schedule is revised. Maybe they could be swapped with one of the ska orchestra slots.

Whilst I am not denying their Bluesfest popularity, I am not sure that every piece of scheduling will be justified by anybody (let alone by anyone "official"), especially given that the forum only has a volunteer moderator........and if it did happen, it would surely open a Pandora's Box, given that everybody's view of who is worthy of the top billings would be quite different.

Personally, I am perfectly happy to see my favourite artists whenever they are scheduled. It is 5 long days, so nature of the beast, unfortunately, when you have so many artists named.

I agree it’s hard to juggle everything, but three afternoon slots! Advertised as a Bluesfest exclusive to emphasise how special they are . Like I suggested, the ska orchestra have two night slots. Swap one with St. Paul . Seems a reasonable move.

If you are really serious, ring the Bluesfest office and talk to them about it.

Creating the schedule has to be the most difficult task. Credit due.
Generally it is possible to plan your festival and see the acts you want to see. Sometimes I'll see an act more than once. Mostly I'll pick which appearance enables to best see all those I want to.
My only gripe is that 2 out of the 5 prime headliners who play only once are playing at the same time.
