Walter 'Wolfman' Washington - New Orleans r 'n b great. Fabulous article about a living legend and his links to past greats of New Orleans music Johnny Adams, Lee Dorsey, Ernie K Doe amongst others. Still going strong and holding down regular gigs in the Crescent City.

Great article Repete. Jonny Adams is on high rotation at my place. Off to New Orleans next month and would love to see some of these greats.
Cheers

Sadly, there's not too many of the old ones left. With luck you might catch a show by Irma or Cyril, Mem Shannon or John Mooney and a good chance to see Walter 'Wolfman' Washington at DBA on Frenchmen, Rebirth for their Tuesday night residency at the Maple Leaf or some of the members of Preservation Hall Jazz Band at Preservation Hall. And I'm sure George Porter will be playing somewhere! Above all, just enjoy it!

Cheers Repete for the tips. Will definitely try to catch Rebirth and locked into Preservation Hall visit. Hope I can get to see Wolfman and Cyril. There will be good music everywhere the week before Mardi Gras.Sure to enjoy it as a warm up to Bluesfest.
