The Paul Butterfield Blues band. One of the first bands I heard when I discovered the blues in 1967.Their 2nd.album is still one of the great blues of all time.Paul a sensational harp player and singer, with one of the great guitar players of all time Mike Bloomfield. The title track East West is still probably my favourate instramental. All do solo`s,and mike and Elvin Bishop`s weaving guitar solo`s are a joy to behold. What a band!Sadly both Butterfield and Bloomfield died much to early, courtesy of hard drugs.

donny20....you have taken the words straight out of my head..loved east west and the first album and also in my own dream, but mostly music featuring mike bloomfield. and also live adventures of al kooper and mike bloomfield...some of the best.
plus I think they were one of the first inter racial bands...which was quite something for those days.
I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.
