Well that,s good news moderator. It is usually later in the morning than that. I,m in Spain right now so 7am your time is my 11pm tonight so we can go out for dinner and by the time we get home I,ll be reading the announcement. Perfect way to finish the day.

And what do you mean "hope you like it" ? already know I will !!!!!!

Gary Clark jr - that got me right there!! SO glad he is going to be there. Unfortunately have missed him every time he has hit our shores previously.

Hussy Hicks are an awesome add again. They absolutely rocked it last year. Such under-rated artists, and so lovely (have now seen them at least 7 times since late 2015, and they are only improving as they go).

Many other great artists in this announcement too.....Flogging Molly, Meshell, Hozier.....the list goes on and on......

Yeeha!!!!!!!!!!

The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tchaikovsky had the news...."

Two announcements in and I'm already wondering how I'll manage to see all the acts I want to!
Gary Clark Jnr was sensational last time. Melody Angel was a revelation in 2017 and is someone you shouldn't miss. Add Samantha Fish, Hussy Hicks, Julia Stone, Mavis Staples, Paul Kelly, Hozier.
It's looking pretty damn good

When I scanned down this list I could only think "now we're talking". This is so much more of an exciting announcement than the first! Very happy to see Samantha Fish and Meshell Ndegeocello on the bill.

Another really solid announcement. I have over 24 must see acts highlighted already.

However, when I look over the list they are generally all acts I have enjoyed over the past ten years at BF - I am a little short on the excitement of seeing new acts that simply take you by surprise and you are hooked thereafter! They now form my stable of 24 must see acts!

I'm sure the gems are there and I hope more will emerge over subsequent announcements. We all need our musical comfort zones to be challenged and stretched - that's why we eagerly keep coming back.

Test your must see list to see that you are stretched!

Every day above ground is a good day!

This is my 10th year so we we.ve been going for about the same length of time and I,ve probably got about the same number highlighted in red. I,Ve also got about another 10 or so new acts which I'm really looking forward to. Deva Mahal has got me a bit excited. It was her father that was one of the 2 acts acts that got me to BLuesfest in the first place. I saw TAj,s last performance at bLuefest a couple of years ago and wondered if I would see him again. I was sort of hoping he would be on the 30th. It would have very fitting.
Anyway, the lineup so far is, in my opinion, just wonderful.

Please do yourselves a favour and check out Shakey Graves this year. Pure talent and quirkiness combined with genuine songwriting ability. Great to see him get another crack.

Line up very moderate so far, i'll be there anyway, but line ups have smacked of lazy booking just become a regular and you are in for repeat bookings. Second announcement particularly weak.

Feeling the same. This will be our 9th Bluesfest and we've seen some amazing acts over the years. I'm sure we'll get an interesting enough schedule together when we get the full line up.

For me the Sunday and Monday are very strong, but there isn't much I like Thursday - Saturday.
Still loads to be added though!

,As usual Eileenk9,nearly always agree with you, solid acts, but didn`t think Paul Kelly would be the top bill of the second announcement.Thin on blues, certainly thin on great guitar players[Jeff Beck,Frampton,Trout, one last one from Buddy etc.,and thin on 60/70`s legends ,Fogerty,Davies,Young,Morrison,Stills, etc.Certainly not demeaning Paul,he`s a great Aussie talent, but come on man this is the 30th!

Geez, I think this is a bit harsh, very deep bill so far with way too many acts to fit in already... I've learned more around Nahko, Kurt vile, Ruthie Foster (Wow). the war and treaty, Anderson east and Trevor Hall and say for example elephant sessions and Greensky Bluegrass are bottom on the Thursday bill and are both awesome. Much prefer depth of bill than spending massive amount of budget on getting The Who in and having a load of filler. And Paul Kelly is Australia. I'm Irish and he's the equivalent of Christy Moore for us. A voice and conscience across the decades. Watching him at the Opera House forecourt last year, with the ferries, house and bridge surrounding us last November, was the most Australian I've ever felt. Compared to Lionel Richie last year or Tom Jones , he is the man to bring this home. But apart from Donny 20 (thanks for the insights) I am curious to hear what you think is missing as I might not know them and learn some new stuff, so get specific and share the wealth! Meanwhile I am excited every day for next year.
