Whilst this is similar to the "Artists For 2019" thread, let's see how you would curate 2019 if it were left entirely to you (while following the rules below).

THE RULES

1. No more than 12 top-line Headliners (a Headliner is any artist who, by virtue of their standing as a drawcard, would need to be the last act/second last act on any of the main stages)
2. Bear in mind that you would not have an unlimited budget.
3. You may add 5 acts for Boomerang Festival.
4. You need to consider a reasonable amount of Australian vs OS artists (try not to slip extra Headliners into this group...you haven't got the money).
5. No less than 40, and no more than 80 acts (outside of Boomerang and buskers/school)in total
6. No wishing for bands that no longer exist/ play live to re-form

**Please note that updated changes to the rules are marked in blue. **

Hi,
We ran your list by Peter Noble, who is on a well deserved break right now.
He said congratulations.
Great list, and not one impossible to deliver artist.
Impressed

Thanks

if by Fleetwood finn you mean neil finns joining Fleetwood mac,i was notified a few days ago that it is already over.stevie nicks apparently didn't like the way neil looked at her,and sacked him. I think there was also a face slap involved.
not sure if it also involved mike Campbell.
hopefully this is just an idol rumour.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes

Thank Peter for his kind words.

The proof of the pudding will be at Easter next year.

Been wanting to see them play bf for a long time but no more bf for me.
I’m thinking if possible I may invest in a room with a balcony overlooking the main stage @ blues on Broadbeach if I can find a place without stairs.
I know a few people up that way & figure we could sit & watch while having a drink in comfort.

Haven't done Blues On Broadbeach as yet, but is certainly on my bucket-list (hard to do the two festivals so close together seeing as I live in Tassie and also work full-time). However, I may get luck and get some rostered leave across both. Then I shall be a certainty.
It's a shame you aren't going to be at BF any more. Make sure you keep posting here however....your posts are more often than not very informative and also entertaining.

I saw The Kill Devil Hills down here in Hobart back in August of 2016. At the time, I never knew of them, but went along because one of my favourite Tassie bands were support, and figured for $20.00 I couldn't go wrong. Just about the best $20.00 I ever spent on a gig.

I am going to break my own rules and add one more Aussie artist, THE FUMES, who I had thought had broken up (but I see are playing at Mitchell Creek Rock & Blues Festival in September).

Had thought of a 3 day tucket & rest up in between but knowing me I’d end up at the rails & other pubs catching some tunes & a drink in my downtime & still be wrecked plus getting to Byron & back will be a drama & hiring a mobility scoooter has become near impossible @ Easter for particularly for bf.
I was lucky Waffles gave me a ride to Byron & got a cut price on my return shuttle this year.
I wanted to make next year but some how I don’t think it will happen.
Spoke to family / friends over the years bout coming but even with the offer of free accommodation & even a ticket still had no takers.
I’d rather do bf on my own & suit my self but figured they may come in handy but they never save the $.
I’m on a pension & do it but they spend throughout the year.
And yet all of them say they wished they could do it?
I’m thinking Canberra Folk fest is just up the road & they have charging stations for scooters & allow them to be stored so I could go with mates & if they only want to go a day leave it at the fest as I do in Byron & do blues on braodbeach as well.
