Check this one out people. His first solo album for years and it's very very bluesy and very very good.
Actually it's bloody great ! Great band too including guests like Dr. John, Doyle Bramhall II and T Bone
Burnett (who also produced it). The real deal.

He's got a solo spot at jazzfest this year. I'd love to know who'll be in his band.

Great pedigree in the album guestlist. Allman himself is of course no slouch either. Sounds like it's definitely worth a spin.

I have been hitting the shops on a daily basis waiting for this to be released.
It was finally available in Real Groovy today........that's tonight sorted out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know who is in his solo Jazzfest band but Derek Trucks has been sitting in with the Allmans for years.

Nice!!! Well I'm only 32. Was my Dad's favourite band. He never got to see them play. I'ts gonna be a great couple of nights. 40th anniversary of Fillmore East too.
