when it comes to the blues side of the festival, for me there is only one name i am most excited for & it is walter trout. the reason for this is not just because of his talent as a guitarist but i had the disappointment of his cancelation in 2014 due to his health. after thinking i wouldn't get to see him live walter has come back from the prospect of death & back to the stage thanks to his liver transplant which i am most excited for when he comes to byron bay in 5 weeks. the only disappointing thing now is that he will only get a one hour set on both days... which is cool as i will be seeing him live but would be nice if one of his sets could be 90 mins... any chance bluesfest admin? either way this is going to be one of the tru highlights of the festival which i will be taking in on easter sunday... anyone else here with me with this one?

.....and given his last album which he did with all of those other invited players, it would be great to see him play with a few of those who were on that album (Warren Haynes, Eric Gales & Joe Louis Walker). Very high on my list (along with Gov't Mule).

Wonder if Walters son Jon will travel over with him. Also a very talented guitarist.

I was at Walter Trout's performance yesterday and he was absolutely brilliant. And his son Jon did make a guest appearance and played a wonderful solo. And what a band! Only three of them - keyboards, bass and drums - but they were laying down an enormous sound. And the bass player is very entertaining as well. They're on again this afternoon and I agree they're not to be missed.

Outstanding. A special performance to witness and I think also for Walter who was overcome at the end.

I missed him & I was keen to see him. I had a rest day sun but unfortunately arrived much later than I intended Monday. I expected him to headline one tent later at night.
