I am looking forward to going this year. It will be great. I got a five dayer I don’t know many of the artists outside of Kie$la but looking forward to the fashion and the vibes. I went to Laneways festival and I enjoyed the fact that most bands only played for 30mins or so. I think Tas Santana was there and she is from Melbs.

The short sets was just enough time so I didn’t get bored and you could talk to music fans.

There were no oldies at the gigs and when I went to work the next day I told people about the bands I saw and they were like “I don’t know who they are and you are really cool to know this stuff” I was like OMG this is lit, ive gotta go to the Byron one!

I’ll probably buy a few tee-shirts of the younger bands. I’ve googled some of the older guys and im not sure who they are. I like the old afro American guys they seem cool as ice – I love that old school rap like the sugarcane gang.

Can’t wait to see everyone there. Any fashion tips? I was thinking festival cas with a touch of independence? IE dungarees and a velvet hat? Any tips re lingo? Or if there are sniffer dogs? Will there be ubers? Whats the wifi like?

You sound a little naive for 117 posts
You got your ticket, so the best advice is go with the flow
Yes there may be sniffer dogs, so wash and use deodorant
WiFY Leave her at home, she'll just be a drag
Enjoy

Not sure why you think it's me. If you want you can message the admin and they would tell you it's not.

Anybody who has been on this forum for some years would know that Eileen wouldn't post anything so stupid.

Is humour outlawed on these forums?

Double plus good.

Thanks for the tips.

I usually drive around with either a neighbors cat in my car or at the very least have a screen saver of a cat on my phone when i am being randomly searched. When the man asks why did the dog pick you - i tell them it must be the cat scent.

I am selling my rainbow attire now that keela is out and dressing in black on Thurs night as i expect a rapper to replace her.

hope its someone awesome as she would have cost a lot of money to bring so thats lots of moola saved!

Hey Gerty,
Don't you get dizzy/confused with all your personas?
I'm amazed at your skill.

So guys one week to go. Doing some last minute shopping, ordered lots of clothes online but none have arrived just yet.
I usually buy tee shirts of bands that are edgy according to Facebook like the blue oyster cult.

Important questions

Is there a chill out lounge/day beds?

Is there an on-site barber/mobile male grooming parlour?

Is there access to gaming machines - Woolworths sponsored entertainment facilities?

On another note - I was dragged along to Roger Plant the other night - he didn’t play any of his deep purple stuff (purple haze etc)- but I liked the vibe. Lots of people don’t know that he was the drummer for the chilli peppers before flea. He’s like Hugh Jackman - he can sing/play/dance - not sure he can act!

I’ve closed my Facebook account after the recent hacks so I’ll be more active here - I usually get abuse on Facebook anyway, you guys are more mellow and you can’t get cyber crimed here. Can’t wait for the music to start (just like the village people song) can’t wait to see the guitarist from them on Mon Night!
