Some of you will remember a past contributor on the forum who had the names Birdstuckinchimney and Cutercomputer. His real name was Peter. He was diagnosed with leukemia on 30 Dec 2016 and died last night at his home near Christchurch at the age of 59. He and I had been friends for over 40 years. We shared many great times, not a few of them involving music, and including several Byron Bluesfests, from Red Devil Park to Tyagarah. He leaves a wife and adult son.

Sad news...condolences to his family. I remember his posts under both user names and he was clearly knowledgeable, funny and a lover of music. Nice to hear from you Jafa, but sad under these circumstances.

He was a regular poster and sounds like he had a great life.

Thank you for your post Jaffa for your post albeit under such sad circumstances. I remember Peter's posts under both names fondly. As others have said hewas knowledgable and erudite. Thinking of you and Cuters family and friends at this sad time. Please let his family know that many bb'ers are saddened by his passing.
Condolences to you and his family.
Spanner

Hi Dan. Yes, you've just reminded me that you met him in person. Pete had a rental car and we picked you up outside Belongil Fields the day after Bluesfest and took you to - Brisbane, I think. Not sure if that was the only time you met him.
