Ray goes off.

He needs a bigger tent this year. I'm sure if Bluesfest gives it, Ray will fill it.

Who's with me!?

I am definitely with you. In the past years,we have seen Ray go from a guy who seemed a bit shy and not sure that he belonged on stage to someone who is now a confident and powerful presence.

A lot of the credit must go his previous bass man Zoltan John Budai (AKA Wally) who basically told Ray that he was better than he believed himself to be and he could have a full time career as a musician rather than a truck driver with the occasional weekend gig.

I thought he took a huge step forward last year with that 2nd set in APRA where the crowd went nuts.

Agreed. That last set was just fantastic. Packed tent and Ray was absolutely on fire! So many people were expressing their disbelief and praise. You could here it around the audience.

I went up to the music tent afterward, shook his hand and bought his CD (and got him to sign it)

A genuine guitar slinger.

Absoflogginlutely!!!! The man gives me goosebumps when he plays. Actually, I think the Apra tent needs to be bigger too, if they close the side in like last year. Cheers.

And he has earnt it...Ray jammed with other talented musos every Sunday at The Excelsior in Glebe for a few years in the 1990's

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen
