i reckon we should be able to sit on top of these at our own risk
i sat up there last year when Buddy Guy was playing and it was the best seat in the house
but after about 20 mins i was told to get down by security?
Iknow he was just doing His job but
I wasnt hurting anyone and I wasnt in anyones way.
so i dont see the problem?

When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
And your gravity fails
And negativity don't pull you through
Don't put on any airs
When you're down on Rue Morgue Avenue
They got some hungry women there
And they really make a mess outta you.

except when someone, who maybe has had a few drinks, falls off, breaks an arm,and sues bluesfest.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

I can understand security ordering people off the haybales, due to the height issue.

However,my reprimand for lying on the ground beside the Crossroads fence is somewhat more difficult to rationally justify.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

Why not add a few intermediate steps so that people can safely and appropriately sit on them? It'd be a good alternative to the tiered seating inside the tents when the weather is fine...

I recall at Red Devil taking a mid-afternoon snooze against the fence to the right at Jambalaya. Harry Manx was playing and it was one of those days where the beers came on fast at 10am... security didn't mind, they just kicked me every now and again to make sure I was alive.
