Sounds like some good artists but the food prices are way OTT.

In fact the prices seem all over the place. $110 to see Glen Shorrick with a 3 course meal, same price for a two course meal to see Renee Geyer, yet the show only for Glen is $70 & for Renee $48, does make sense. So you pay 40 bucks for 3 course or $62 for 2 courses.

Good to see Brian & Jo Lizotte have opened down that way for the Northern Beaches people. I've been enjoying their Kincumber venue for years now & recommend
everyone to enjoy the Lizotte experience. In the last year I've sat 2 metres from the likes of Jeff Martin, Jeff Lang, Ray Beadle & more & all the artists mingle after the show
to sign autographs, photos etc. Great night out !!!

One of the reasons I moved to Newcastle from the Northern Beaches was due to the live music scene, including Lizottes. Might have stayed if I knew they had expansion plans there!

And the food prices reflect the quality in my experience....

Anyhoo, saw Black Sorrows at Lizottes earlier this year and would thoroughly recommend seeing them in this type of venue (classy, intimate and good sound quality).

PS No vested interest!

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

The Brothers Grimm should be added to the list - they are up again in December at the Fisho.

Having a newborn is killing my awareness of anything that is going on - such great music only a few minutes drive away. Again you deliver Greybeard.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

This is probably a better link to the article in question.

What a shame, we saw a lot of amazing acts at Lizottes in Dee Why over the years including Ray Beadle, Steve Poltz, Eric Bibb, Blue Eyes Cry, Harry Manx. Bondi Cigars, Liza Ohlback, Ash Grunwald... I could go on. The acts speak for themselves and the food was always great.

Looking at their facebook page they don't close their doors until May 2015.... So if you haven't ever seen Steve Poltz you have an opportunity, I guarantee a fun filled evening, full of surprises - this guy is one of a kind!
