The perfect solution for the wetter times @ BF.
Not only keeps dry but stops things getting to warm.
Spread it round the entire BF site & I'll never get bogged again.

This artist played at bluesfest years ago as part of the New Orleans Katrina Benefit tour. There's a few fest veterans on the board who remember his short sets, wishing he had an entire performance of his own. He did it tough after the flood, but he's back!! Davell Crawford. The one living New Orleans pianist who channels the late and great James Booker. You may not particularly like this old New Orleans traditional jazz (the song is almost 100 years old...I love it!), but watch Davell Crawford....he's f***ing amazing:

Love Davell.

Off to Auckland this weekend to see 87 year old Burt Bacharach.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftO9ClIhFAo
Time to catch up on the countless classic songs that he composed in partnership with Hal David.
Remarkably, this track is identical in every respect to the vinyl.

I recall standing at the rail the year they played Bluesfest.
The guy next to me said "Larry Carlton is the man."
They were certainly needed that year as the lineup for my tastes was not great.

robben ford is also a great guitarist. when he plays with the ford brothers band especially.they have a couple of great albums where they play paul butterfield tracks and another where they play mike bloomfield. the bloomfield tribute also features chris cain.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

No wonder that clip has so many hits.
Far better than the original.
The voices are in fact instruments.
