Thanks Pete but i cant take credit as i just resurrect this thread from the old board Bu had the original idea but i felt it was well worthy of the new board.
I was going to name this thread "i'll show you mine if you show me yours" but with all those webcams around who knows what we may have been viewing.

Not with clips like that your not , it's my kind of stuff & i had only heard Bo Dollis & the Wild Magonlias play that before but Papa Mali puts his own slant on this one-good stuff.
When it comes to Papa Mali clips i like this version of When The Levee Breaks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiNX0czgXnQ

Keep em coming.

So far we have
'Ghost Dance'
Witches' Song

Isn't halloween over? never mind still good music

I would like to see this 1 guy do a duet with bob log lll

Nah...but I hope the powers that be pay attention!! BTW, he produced Ruthie Foster's last album. I caught a midnight show of his at a club in New Orleans last year with guests Cyril Neville, Theressa Anderson, Eddie Roberts (from the New Mastersounds - great funk outfit from the UK) and Big Sam Williams on trombone. It was fantastic and as luck would have it I've got a cd of the show (it was recorded on streaming community radio, WWOZ). I chatted with him for sometime after the show on the street outside - as you would expect, he's a really knowledgeable musician - we talked about Van Morrison's show a few days earlier at jazzfest and he critiqued it as only a musician/producer would, pointing out it needed more at the bottom end, but otherwise a great show. He's a musician's musician and would go down a treat at bluesfest.

Cassandra Wilson giving the treatment to an old Son House classic:

I would pay a lot of money to see this woman sing live. Channelling the spirit of the great Nina Simone.
