Spring is in the air and that means only six months until BF 2011... and only a month or two from official announcements.

So here is the thread for all rumored, guesstimated and confirmed acts for 2011.

And for the sake of the boards sanity, please no requests. That is for the 2011 board.

Franti is a dead cert: Of course he'll be there.
Wycleff Jean (if he doesnt become president of Haiti)
Damien Marley and Nas. (still very regagee roots Nas's live shows are rock / funk not just rap)
The Pogues

89% correct for sure.

Yes im a one man party.

Dans fast off the mark .

Only found out yesterday they are on the good vibes bandwagon. not worth enduring 7 hrs of trance music and being surrounded by police and sniffer dogs to endure the show in sydney.

Franti could be this years exclusive - watch this space. Black Keys certs as well. Barnsey has to make up for last year and someone has to make up for the exposure to the avett brothers last year ... wedding in july (singing songs written by julia roberts & oprah)

to quote festival director "he (BB) does not return my calls". Just wondering where you got this info from?

I would think Mavis staples as she has a new album out, maybe wilco as well.

George Clinton as he has been touring.

Black keys maybe, but rumour is they are playing the big day out.

Then probably Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Fishbone, Ruthie Foster, Ziggy Marley

I would expect a fair amount of reggae next year considering the lack of it this year.

Maybe we need a "who is not coming to BF 2011" thread...

The marvellous Dallas Frasca will be touring Europe Easter 2011 so won't be there.

She is top of her game at the moment so catch her touring now before she becomes huge OS. In fact I'd give a money back guarantee on her performances...you will be impressed!

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic would be awesome.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.

court yard hounds have just pulled their australian tour. they say they'll reschedule, possibly bluesfest? i'd certainly have no interest in them but many probably would.

A couple of local acts, no rumour, just my guess based on their performance(s) at Bateman's Bay & the crowd's reaction would be Blue Shaddy (absolute highlight of the weekend) & Penny & The Mystics
