I got my email - it sure comes around quick. Certainly gives me a heavy heart about being overseas and not able to make it in 2011.

And I see that ticket prices are steady from last year (or are they even slightly cheaper?). Either way, that's a good sign for attendees. Not that value for money has ever been an issue in my experience at BF.

Got my ticket order in -they seem to be just a little cheaper than last bf.
Be nice if bar prices were to follow suit but i'm thinking that's unlikely.

Yep we got ours too - around $100 cheaper for two 5-day tix than last year. Great value and really good to see BF rewarding loyalty.

Bring it on!!

Bought one for myself and one for Keith as his computer is out of action.
What fantastic value.

And who knows what might be on the bill for 2011

Booked the tickets but wish I didn't have to spend the cash right now due to my trip in Sept/Oct to the USA to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, etc. but the prices were great! Also booked a place in Brunswick Heads to stay, I'm so over Byron, the prices, the traffic and all the rest that goes with it. Anyone else in Brunswick this year? Would be great to meet at the pub on the Thursday pre-Bluesfest.

My positive feedback for Brunswick accommodation last year:

Cheaper
Quieter
Easier and quicker to get the end of night bus
Just as close to Tyagarah as Byron (slightly closer?)
Dolphins swimming within 6 feet of me at the beach the day before the fest. Kind of cool, even if it rattled me at the time
One pub means that any pre arranged meet up is pretty straightforward

I was thinking that Peter was upset with me because I did not get an email. It went to spam. So glad I was up in the night and thought to look here.

Your email system must have a comprehensive spam filtering function.

In NZ,Telecom, the equivalent of Telstra,at the start of 2010 introduced an antispam system that blocked out all unauthorised mail.
That meant that you may have been sending emails to people for years, and then all of a sudden they would not receive them, unless they specifically added you to their email system as an authorised sender.
This caused extreme frustration and is still happening, even if you just reply to an email someone has sent.
It means that if I have a client with an Xtra email address,I first have to phone them and get them to add me,otherwise it is pointless emailing them.Their helpdesk is hopeless because it appears to be based in India and they never actually do anything.

Bought mine tonight. I was only going to buy a 3 day ticket after seeing what the line up was to decide on which 3 nights to go but hey the 5 day pre-early bird is 6 dollars cheaper than the three day ticket so why not buy it

My travelling companion eyed up the Bluesfest Camping Ground and suggested we consider it for 2011.
I reminded him that it was only $30 per night at the YHA ,and that all we had to do was to hop in the car and drive 40km up the road each night to a bed guaranteed to be dry and removed from party animals.
After reading the posts in regard to the issue with lack of amenities,it reinforces my view.
One thing in our favour is that neither of us drink alcohol, which would be an hurdle for some groups to overcome.
You might have to wait an hour to get out of the carpark, but as long as you have some CDs to play.......
We still get there at opening time each.
Though if you indulged in alcohol you might be tempted to have the odd sleep-in.
