The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassium is out on Foxtel (so I guess on DVD too) with Tom Waits playing the devil. A worthy performance.

Is this his only acting gig?

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

I'm told that "Down By Law" is a cracking role, with Waits as an out of work New Orleans radio DJ, who still likes to listen to his old shows. Definitely high on my "to see" list. Directed by Jim Jarmusch, who is also quite the music fan.

Jarmusch also directed Coffee and Cigarettes, and Waits' scene is just too good. Tom and Iggy Pop sharing a conversation over, you guessed it, coffee and cigarettes. But the topics of conversation are so left field...... Classic absurdist comedy, all delivered deadpan of course.

Speaking of Iggy, over here in the UK, he did an ad for car insurance of all things, and it seems to really getting a cult following. Someone had a masterstroke in the marketing department there.

Wow, managed a few segues in that post......
