Who is of the opinion that the Apra stage needs to be bigger? This year had the sides closed in, and made it damn near impossible to get in! The quality lineups drew the crowd, and rightly so... but sheesh! The position and size of the Cabaret tent would have been perfect, Maybe this year had a bigger lineup for Apra and organizers didn't anticipate the size of the crowd they would draw..... Early days I guess. But Apra is one of my fav tents. Cheers.

i think the fact it was adjacent to the front gate made it harder to find a spot.yep definately bigger!

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

I agree with waffles that being the first tent inside the gate it attracted a bit more attention than it would have if it was over near crossroads for example. Wouldn't want to lose that intimate atmosphere by going bigger though, just swap places with the first nation or caba caba ray stage might work.

Both Apra and Jambalaya need to be bigger. In the case of the latter I think bands too frequently are put on there when they should be playing over at Mojo or Crossroads. Eric Bibb, Tim Finn and Colin Hay in recent years come to mind.

Jambalaya also needs to lose the bleechers and ban chairs (cue chair debate #9351).

Didn't feel any smaller than 2009 to me - the tiered seating made it feel MUCH smaller though when it came in.....
