lone ranger, all kiwis should be proud of the all whites.great result against a much more experienced team.they have a tough group and it would be great to see them go on.ive always been a shane smeltz fan-he playing for the gold coast in the a league.and fallon played well too. pity the didnt play to a full stadium, but they would be the least known team at the world cup.we aussies have to beat ghana to go on. germany was a big ask but we didnt need that end result.

Hi Waffles,I watched the game and it is certainly a very uplifting result which will assist the progress of soccer here.

I watch little rugby union these days, with the only game I have enjoyed in recent years being one between NZ and a combined Fiji,Samoa & Tonga team.

There does not appear to be much polynesian involvement in soccer,so this should assist in that regard.

Germany was always going to be a massive hurdle, but given how well the Aussies perform in other sports, their strength in soccer can only continue to build further.

If all the Aussies who played League,Union and Aussie Rules, played soccer, you would defeat Germany[and England] hands down.

You know more about the NZ players than I do.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
