another great weekend of music at broadbeach, only made the saturday, but a full day none the less.
some highlights-
ray beadle, first time ive seen him ,he was great, pity not on surf parade-bigger audience, bigger sound system.
dallas frasca-now blonde.4 song in she does a visit into the crowd,on someones sholders.loved the exotic dancer she had on stage.
jeff lang-always good, but a bit of the same about his show.
mojo webb-a great show,jb lewis his guitarist was excellent.mojos playing some beautiful guitars.
austin walkin cane-good pure blues act.
bex marshall-good show from this u.k. lady.she sang her best in the mcgintys bar later in the night.up on the table belting out ac/dc.she deserves a
spot at bluesfest.she did well for not playing with her own band.
also saw-doc span,chase the sun,mick hart,john meyer etc.
the weather held out,the crowds were good-all in all a good weekend.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Ray was awesome as usual.
Chase the Sun were great. Jan is a guitar player to watch. Great guys too. http://www.chasethesunband.com
Harii Bandhu was fantastic also. Such a great voice that comes so easily to him.

... and the breakfasts at Alto are just the best!

Agree Waffles.
Saw her the week after bf @ the Canberra southern cross yacht club just her & her dobro, she did a wonderfull job.
It was an outdoor event so we were glad it was in a marquee as the wind from the lake was more than a little nippy, far from the warmer weather of Byron bay & a bit of a shock to the system after a couple of weeks in qld & byron.
