Bugger. What a great shame, but of course, suc things are never a matter of "if", so much as "when". Always such a scene stealing presence. No more so than in Easy Rider of course, but was always at least worth a chuckle even in a cameo. R.I.P.

The doco "Not Quite Hollywood" recaps a lot of the various "Ozploitation" trash films of the 60s and 70s (trash as affectionate term). I remember the section on the film "Mad Dog Morgan" with Hopper in the title role really just out of control in rural Victoria. Classic stuff.
