How on earth did "Poor Man's Whiskey" do "On the run" by Pink Floyd last night.

What was that thing?

Awesome! Don't miss this one...

Sooooooo disappointed.

Had Poor Man's Whiskey pencilled (no penned) in for Sunday night to see Dark Side of The Moon...........only to get there & have them play their other stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!

Left early (so avoided the hour wait to get out of the car park) & had to make do with listening to the cd I'd bought earlier, on the way back to Ballina.

Did you catch the hand-saw used by Mojo Juju and the Snake Oil Merchants? Similar ethereal sound and much more low-tech!

I went to Sunday night also - same boat. Damn shame, as I suspect the Dark Side set would have been one to talk about, but their own stuff fell well short of both Old Crow, and also Willson Pickers, who seem to have an astounding natural fit as far as harmonies go. Re: Pickers, it helps when Ben Salter (of the Gin Club and Giants of Science) is in the band - that dude has such a great knack for harmony vocals.

I saw poor mans whiskey do darkside of the moonshine on saturday night. I thought it was amazing. It made me want to come back and see their original sets on sunday and monday, which I also really liked. I loved their fun energy in both the pink floyd stuff, and their own material. I hope they come back to bluesfest, because for me, they were a highlight of the festival.
