Did anyone else catch Brian Auger's Oblivion Express last night?

Never seen anyone attack a keyboard like Brian. We were over at some other tent waiting for the band to do their sound check when we just heard this wall of sound coming from across the park. I turned to my wife and said "We gotta check out who is making that!"

Glad we did.

I might be about 40 years late on the Oblivion Express, but it's obviously still running.

Now to buy a CD. Does anyone have any recommendation of his work?

I'm a fan now! Thanks Bluesfest!

Yes pentatonic,I was in the front row on the right

What a Thursday night it was at Bluesfest 2010.

Imelda May
Brian Auger's Oblivion Express
Galactic featuring Cyril Neville
Lil Band O' Gold
Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra

Definitely the best thursday in the seven Bluesfests I have attended.

By a long way.

This was an out of left field choice of act,in conjunction with the Tauranga and Christchurch Jazz Festivals.

I would have loved to catch two sets.

If you missed this, the first visit to Australia by Brian at the age of 70,you missed something real special.

"An artist never really chooses when and where they will play.It is for promoters to make offers. It comes down as to whether tours are financially viable." Quote John Mayall.
