Has anyone seen this lineup yet?
Very commercial:
KILLERS, SNOW PATROL, DUFFY, KAISER CHIEFS, ELBOW.
I thought this was a more indie kind of festival?
It's all up to SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS now, please just 1 festival with a great lineup, please!
I'm still hoping for more less commercial acts on the Bluesfest 2nd announcement.

Hmmm...methinks you are in the wrong place H-racer!

Doubt many posters here give a toss about V Festival.....

Buddy Guy is without doubt the best guitar player alive.......the way he plays is beyond anyone. Amen

The Blues artist announced are quality acts, who cares if Tony Joe White or Ruthie Foster is considered "commercial" its an irrelevant
and surprisingly inappropriate label That line of thought would mean BB King would be your worst nightmare!
You had already decided you weren't attending
Quote:
So I won't be attending festival and am so glad I didn't "trust" the promoters and buy a 3 day pass, I will be passing alltogether.
I will definately be catching Seasick Steve in a sideshow though.
If you can't consistently find something in the 5 tents then you at the wrong festival forum.

Heading out for the East Coast / Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin' through, / Tangled up in blues.

Damn right there Greybeard. I've had no trouble for the last 5 years filling midday to midnight (with ever diminishing visits to the MoJJJo stage at that), and can still look back at the old playing time cards and think "how did I miss that?".

Surely Splendour (or Squalor as Reg refers to it) wouldn't have (gasp) commercial acts in its lineup?

Some people are very difficult to please!

To Mr Greybeard:

definition of a Forum =

meeting or medium for open discussion or debate

You seem to cut down every post I make, I'm starting to think you're stalking me on this forum ;-)

I posted this because some people like to attend many festivals and have varied tastes in music.

I have the right to change my mind and attend Bluesfest if I like the artists added in future announcements. I will look out for you and say g'day.

A) Read your own definition. You appear to oppose Debate!
B) Exaggeration surely, I think I've discussed just two of your 16 posts
C)And yes you have a right to change your mind, it could only be a trade up.
D) Now who's stalking who

Splendour in the grass usually just gets a lineup from the most played songs on triple J. But that year that Mogwai, Sonic Youth and Death Cab played was Killer.

there's nothing wrong with being a serial festival stalker but your tastes are not varied enough to warrant a bluesfest ticket ?
