If anyone else checked their e-mail accounts you would have noticed the great Taj Mahal on the artist list. However he is not on the website announcements. I would love to know which is correct. Taj is one of the bluesfest greats and when I saw his name on the announcement e-mail it brought a smile to my face. I sure hope his name appears back on the website soon.

Trumpet bells ringing
Bass drum is swinging
As the trombone groans
And the big horn moans

He was on the website announcement for a while too. This happens quite a bit. I think there should be announcements every time they take someone off. You get your hopes up and if you don't look at it again you can turn up and be very dissapointed.

An all expenses paid fishing trip through Northern Australia after the fest ('bout 2-3 weeks) would just about swing it.

Isn't it time he returned. Taj is the musician who initially attracted me to Bluesfest. He should be one of those "Blues Gods" who have earned a spot on the honour board and who gets the honour of doing a 2 hour special 4pm to 6pm spot one of the afternoons in Crossroads. They've got 6 stages now so I'm sure they they've got the space to slot him in. Finishing at 6pm (while we are still in control of all our senses) gives us all the opportunity of returning to our tents for some tea & refreshments in order to prepare ourselves for all the really "big dollar" acts to follow. Possible I've had too many wines this afternoon but this all sounds totally logical too me.
