With the 2009 festival yielding disappointingly few sit-in moments between acts, here's hoping there will be a return to some "cross pollination" between artists this year.

In particular, I mentioned in the Lil Band o Gold thread that there is any number of combinations they could be part of, not to mention Cyril Neville popping in for one of their sets. If Peter Green and John Mayall stop by one another's sets, there could be some great results. Bela Fleck at Umphrey's McGee? Some Lil Band members at Dr John? Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy slinging together?

Some dazzling possibilities - anyone else have some dream combos that could happen looking at the schedule?

stating the obvious here but Frankenreiter and johnson will gig together as they always do.

In 2004 casey joined in with the Bill Chambers band and surprised all by staying on for the whole show.

Also not on the same subject but in 04 I saw Ash Grunwald in the Juke Joint with maybe 50 or so in the audience, he blew the roof off, saw him last year in the Mojo with maybe 3000 he still blew the roof off.

60 more sleeps CMON. Im 50 yo and it feels like a kid waiting for Xmas. Cant wait.

joe bonamassa with jeff beck or peter green or buddy guy.
joes good and id like to see him trading licks with one of these players.

his recent albert hall dvd had eric clapton guesting and joe looked pretty good.

Dr John and Young Bill.

I'll poke him with his stick once if it's not fonky enough, twice if it's getting a bit too fonky.
