Make a big sound for such a small band.

I like a bit of rocking, blues-rock.

A bit like 2017 BF when, after seeing Devon Allman the first night, I went back and saw him 4 times out of the 5 he played, simply because he rocked, and was so enjoying doing it. Fabulous energy. That's why I'd love to see him back in 2019.

...and as far as that sub-genre of rocking blues, hence why I chose.....

Neil Young & POTR (watch some of their renditions of the Crazy Horse material)
Joe Bonamassa
Ash Grunwald
Gary Clark jr
Joanne Shaw Taylor
Philip Sayce

They rocked the roof off at Mitchell Creek 2 years ago so it's good to see they're back. One of my all time favourite bands.

The surprise pack at Mitchell Creek last year was The Radiators, they absolutely blitzed it with Brad Shepherd on guitar. Can't wait for this year.

Brad Shepherd?? Wow. He is an awesome player.....the backbone of a number of fine bands over the years.

After shredding the blues tent at jazzfest yesterday I would say Mr Noble will be going out of his way to sign up Samantha Fish. I’d also put in a good word for The Deslondes.

I am going to add to the rules.

You will now be allowed up to 80 artists in the main part (where before you were only allowed up to 60). I need you to bear in mind that you cannot just keep adding headline-level acts as non-headline acts....we have to have some budgetary constraints.

You can then have 5 Boomerang acts.

The natural order of things would then dictate that we will have busking comp winners and the local area high school showcase. This would round out the total numbers to what Bluesfest normally has.

So thinking caps on for those of you who haven't given it a crack. It's all a bit of fun knowing what sort of festival you would provide for yourself (and anybody else who would attend such a figment).

Anybody else want to have a crack at curating their own Bluesfest before the first announcement next Wednesday?

Just check the rules on the top of the first page of this post.

10/39 with maybe more to come. And I would have put Arlo Guthrie in my original wish-list if I'd have thought of him. Plus many more like Ruthie Foster and Trevor Hall who are new to me, but sound great. Cant's friggin wait...
