Just happened to have left my alarm on this morning despite not having to go to work today. However, my radio alarm is set to community radio, and this morning, their Blues Show was on, and they played some nice stuff from some new &/or recent Oz blues releases. Being a huge purchaser of recorded music, I thought it might make a good, ongoing thread for those like-minded souls who like to buy new albums.........

1. Collard, Greens & Gravy - Luedella

2. Dave Hole - Goin' Back Down (out 27th April)

3. Lazy Eye - Black Hill (Live) (out May 1st)

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

I often wish that I lived up that way so as I could take advantage of these things. Becomes a big drain so close to Bluesfest when you live so far away and shiftwork for a living. Would love to see Mr Hole too.

dave hole said that his unique style of playing slide...playing from the top of the neck, not the bottom..came from a football injury many years ago.which left him unable to play the usual way.

The Record Company are set to release a new album in the not-too-distant future. They would be a great addition to the 30th anniversary lineup given their fabulous showing in 2017, Here's the first single off of the album.....

Yes, one of my highlights also. Looking forward to listening for the new album, bought his last album after seeing him at Blue Mountains Music Festival solo (playing a ukulele....I don't like the ukulele, hopefully asked him after, if it was just a small guitar!) in the songwriters circle last year.

Some unofficial videos from his Thursday set
