International acts:
Would result in immediate sell out of the jambala tent only.

Im sure everyone would agree with these mainstream underground choices.

James Harpam (solo)
Fraser & Debolt
Oxbow
Neurosis
Black Tape for Blue Girl
Fiona Decker
Giant Squid - Metridium Fields
The Crazy World of Arthur Brown
Bongwater
Warren Zevon
Wu Tang Clan

Dear mccin,
Great suggestions.
I'd add Ben Elias and the torpedoes.
Siro and the jets.
Terry Fahey and the rabbits.

When they go low-we go high.

Unfortunately Mr Zevon has long gone. Would have loved to have seen him live.

I only listen to music and never pay attention to gossip and the lives of the artists i listen to - so if I get a few things wrong every now and then, well what can I say.... another Aussie artist postponed an upcoming tour to fit into the bluesfest schedule. We've been calling for some homegrown reggae for years - solid peice: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/4632554/peter-andre-greatest-hits-tour-cancelled-ticket-sales/

Shame on you

From what I have read he is really popular in the UK and his concerts sell out there.

A couple of years ago I was watching an English home renovation series called 60 Minute Makeover and Peter Andre was the host. I expected an absolute tool but he was actually a really nice guy with a great sense of humour. He now talks in a strange Cockney accent.

May be too late for 2018
Some female artists:
Ana Popovic
Joanne Shaw Taylor
Laura Chevez (with whoever she is playing with)
Samantha Fish
Susan Tedeschi (with her husband and band as well)
Mia Dyson
Fiona Boys
Dallas Frasca
and some female singers:
Dana Fuchs
Alice Russell (about time she returned)
Janiva Magness
and others
Paul Rodgers
Steve Winwood (with Eric Clapton)
Peter Frampton
Walter Trout
Black Country Communion
Eric Burdon (we need to see and sing with the band again)
Galactic
Jon Cleary
What about Blackmores Night - great folk music
And who can jam with Gov't Mule - Dana Fuchs doing Janis and Grace
Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Squirrel Nut Zippers

Looking forward to all the other acts for 2018 and future Bluefests
How can they get better? But they do.........

I've been watching the Facebook stream of the Jason Wells Band followed by Brandon Santini live at Buddy Guy's Legends.

I'd love to see both come to Bluesfest.

In honour of the late great Walter Becker, and as Donald has said The Dan will continue. If we can't have the full Steely Dan band perhaps it would be great to have Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers. This is his new project that includes some Steely Dan songs.
That's at the top of my Wishlist for 2018!

I agree with you Nannette. I would love to see Donald Fagen and the Nightflyers. It would make my Bluesfest very special.

I see Barnsey has a gap in his schedule around Easter.
I know it would be nice to spend Easter with the family, but what about grabbing some old mates and head of the Byron.
I think a bit of cold steel would go down very well.

Nice gap in Jason Isbell's tour calendar next year. Plays Feb 17 and then nothing till April 28. Always popular at Bluesfest. Fingers crossed.
