I see Paul Kelly uses Google Maps to get around

Nov 19
Sydney Opera House Forecourt
Pyrmont, Australia

Interstate visitors do not go to Pyrmont unless you want the Casino

I am getting old and cranky
The Opera House ticket site informs that is is a 4 and a half hour concert
https://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/events/whats-on/Contemporary-Music/2017/paul-kelly.html

I read the entry conditions bag search of anything over a foolscap size and no food or beverages allowed- an EMPTY water bottle can be filled for free
There was a photo of a past forecourt event
https://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/visit-us/performance-space/forecourt.html
I sent them the following email

Re Paul Kelly / Steve Earl on the Forecourt November 20
Hello there
I am interested in attending but need two questions answered please
1 ) Are folding chairs allowed It is a long concert and I am no longer young and arthritis free
2) The accompanying forecourt photograph is very, very crowded and without entrance /exit isles, are basic foodstuffs and drink really not allowed to be taken in?
Thanking you in advance

I got the following reply
Dear Greybeard ,

Thank you for your email,
Unfortunately fold out chairs or seats cannot be taken into the forecourt you can however sit on the forecourt steps if needed, outside food and beverages is also not allowed.

Regards,
Samuel Bjorndahl
Ticketing Services Representative

It looks like I achieved something
THAT PHOTOGRAPH WAS REMOVED !
Unfortunately I am prevented from coming in consequence of a subsequent engagement.
As Oscar Wilde once wrote.

He is playing up at Newcastle, at the Entertainment Centre. The trip up the M1 (F3 for the traditionalists) might be preferable to the forecourt. I have my tickets.

So park your bum on the Sydney Opera House steps then, Greybeard. Take a cushion to sit on ;)

I am thinking of getting tickets for the Coffs Harbour show.. but being at the botanical gardens could be a problem if it rains. Both amazing musicians and have been highlights for me at Bluesfest in recent years.

His website would suggest not

http://www.steveearle.com/tour/

But the 5 day cruise without leaving New Orleans doesn't sound right

Not a bad lineup
