The topic re the Police Sniffer dogs has been removed.
Should it begin again, it will be closely monitored for posts that are unsuitable or inflammatory.
There are deep divisions regarding posters viewpoints in this area.
As moderator, posts in this topic have of necessity been the most closely checked of all other topics on the Forum.
Please be careful in future to stay, at least somewhere close to the topic.
Trolling will not be tolerated.
Whilst we realise there are those who are passionate in their viewpoints, be advised, Bluesfest supports the police, who must administer the law.
Whilst our personal viewpoint regarding some types of recreational drugs and their being illegal may differ, we will and must work with the police in doing their duty.
This is a difficult area, and we acknowledge the use of police sniffer dogs is not something that many people like.
Bringing drugs to festivals has resulted in deaths, thank god not at Bluesfest.
Simply, no one knows what is in the drugs, and playing Russian roulette with your life seems to be a foolhardy undertaking.
The police are doing their job, and until amnesty bins, or drug testing at events is legislated, the current methods apply.
The medical facilities at Bluesfest are at best industry standards. We hope they never have to deal with serious drug overdoses.
The loss of a life is traumatic, not only to family and loved ones, but to everyone involved.
There are many sides to this.
Perhaps more reasonable posts, acknowledging this will lead to a debate which is not so divisive
Thanks
