The Stones released a brilliant blues album last year.
They have lots left.

I'm a fan, but they've only released 1 album of original material in the last 20 years (2005).
Also, I reckon they should have hired someone (e.g., Kim Wilson) to play harmonica on their blues album.
Mick cut an album's worth of blues tracks about 25 years ago and hired the late Lester Butler for harmonica duties.
This is the only track that's been officially released.

I have seen quite a few Pearl Jam gigs over the years, thanks to things we have been doing, and they go OK.

And I certainly would not mind them at BluesFest. I would them take over most lame rappers any day of the weak.

As for the Stones Blues Album, I don't mind some of the songs I have heard.

But my English friend who is a Blues Expert, cannot cop it at all.

Here in Australia .. or overseas? I think Vedder's solo show would be great addition to the Bluesfest lineup. He's playing at some festivals in Europe later this year so Bluesfest could be an option one year I'm thinking.

I'm starting to worry about Neil Young. The Bridge School Benefit Concert which Neil hosts, has been cancelled this year. Neil states in his letter that it's due to personal reasons.

Anxious

Could be just what he says for personal reasons.
After all they have been divorced for a few years & may not want to work together on this project anymore.

revenue from

I heard as below -

ticket sales - 7.5m

,farm hire - 1m per year for 7 yrs

marquees's - $53- 120k

etc,artist payments between 3.2m to 4.2m

and insurances. $2.7m

Drink/food/CD/buses 4m

Profit for Peter is normally between 50k and 34m per year.

My advice in this respect is to get your solicitor to draw up an unconditional contract at a price that will allow the director to enjoy a comfortable retirement.
Though I would point out that restraint of trade clauses are difficult to enforce in today's world.
Rule of thumb is about one year is all you can expect.

BF balance sheets are none of my business
I don't care.
As long as great acts are booked yearly, that's all I'm concerned with.
They'll keep getting my money

When they go low-we go high.

Why? It's a business not a public service paid for by taxpayers. So such info is none of our business really.

I'm with bucceti and waffles and just looking forward to September and the first announcement.

I agree with Mike and I believe we should take it a step further- Peter should publish his tax return for the current year ending when making the next announcement. It's he least he could do to keep everything above board.

Totally agree.
My sources at BRW who compile the annual rich list have Mr Noble firmly ensconced.
The more we punters know the better.

When they go low-we go high.
