They got the cocaine, oxycontin, mushrooms, marijuana
Vodka, plastic pop-off, twist one off
Yesterday I smoked, today I don't
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Has anyone on here ever been to Splendour? I've always been curious about it but it seems like a festival for the under 30s.

my son has been 4 times but having grown up on bluesfest has decided you get treated much better at bluesfest and is returning to the flock.

I don't want to hang up my rock n roll shoes
I get a good time feeling every time I hear those blues.

Yes, I've been a few times.

It is what it is, a lot of young chemically affected people go there and it's true that many go just to go, and they don't care about the music, but if you don't mind that, some good music in amongst some not so good.

I can't say it's better or worse than Bf, it's different. But people go to BF because they know it's a quality product with quality music, if they don't like the music, I'd assume they wouldn't come to BF, but they go to SITG anyway, regardless of who's on.

It's a different target market, set out in a different way and deals with a very different crowd.

I've been to 14 bluesfests and 4 or 5 SITG's so I think you'll find my preference in there, but I won't say anything bad about SITG, except for how bad the mud was 2 years ago, the days at Red Devil etc for BF were nothing on the mud at SITG 2 years ago.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion man...

You get more bang for your buck at bluesfest. I've been to a lot of splendours but stopped going after all the hoops they want their ticket buyers to jump through. Bit like this forum.

Dear Skot,
Are you going to be a goose all your life?
