Shane Howard played at Mullum a few weeks ago - what a great show that was. He'd certainly be a welcome addition

Jimmy Cliff previewed new album on Colbert this week. Sounds like the fire has been stoked for Jimmy and would be a great inclusion for 2011.
Got a blank space where my mind should be

He was big before Marley and without doubt, is the most significant Jamaican artist still with us. Jimmy Cliff would be a stand alone headliner. That said, he has been on the fest shortlist for at least 2 years that I can recall so Peter has been trying! Another great Jamaican act definitely worth inviting is Third World.

Agreed on JIMMY CLIFF Some reggae is needed next year, maybe HORACE ANDY or BURNING SPEAR also, although these are not reggae, I would love to see TERRY CALLIER, ETTA JAMES or BILL WITHERS!

Please consider GILLIAN WELCH or even RYAN BINGHAM. We've been coming for close to 15 years now and the last few we keep saying this is the last there are too many "loud noise" crowd pleasers and not as many of the off beat musicians you used to have. Kane and Welch, Jeff Lang, Iris Dement and the like. But insaying all this I would have put Ben Harper in that category when I first saw him as well. There were only a 100 or so sitting on chairs watching Ben playing this new funny instrument. Anyway a local consideration could be FRED SMITH; he is an excellent ballad writer and a highlight at Woodford for us.

David Gilmour - Number 1 My Morning Jacket and/or Jim James/Yim Yames Poor Mans Whiksey The Who and/or Roger Daltrey The Avett Brothers Robert Plant and/or Band Of Joy Eric Clapton Ringo Starr and the All-Star Band Lou Reed Lynyrd Skynyrd America Joe Cocker Mumford & Sons Jack Bruce Don McLean
my wishlist for next year; none of them have dates that conflict, most havent been to Australia in a very long time.. their all wanted possibilities..

I was lucky enough to see Terry Callier in 2005 at the Jazz Cafe in Camden. He put on a very warm, professional show, although I wouldn't want too see him on either of the main stages at BF - he needs the more personal sized touch of Jambalya.
